º£½ÇÂÒÂ× Broken Bay is proud to announce the accreditation of seven new Highly Accomplished teachers, joining a distinguished group of educators nationally and within New South Wales. These educators have demonstrated outstanding professional expertise, commitment, and leadership in their classrooms, raising the standard of teaching and learning across our diocese.

The latest cohort adds to a growing community of 1,684 Highly Accomplished and Lead Teachers (HALTs) nationally, with 402 accredited across New South Wales. Of those, 73 are Catholic educators from NSW, proudly representing our commitment to educational excellence. â€¯

This brings the number of HALTs within the Broken Bay Diocese to over 20, a testament to the dedication of our teaching staff. These experienced educators play a vital role in supporting their colleagues’ professional growth, positively impacting student achievement and contributing to the wider school community.

On Friday 22 August, a special ceremony was held at the State Library of New South Wales, where the new HALTs were formally recognised for their hard work and dedication. The event highlighted the importance of quality teaching in classrooms and early childhood services throughout NSW. With 446 HALT-accredited teachers statewide, these educators are driving transformative teaching practices that benefit students and communities alike.

The Broken Bay community congratulates our new Highly Accomplished teachers on this significant professional milestone. Their leadership and commitment exemplify the highest standards of Catholic education, inspiring both colleagues and students towards excellence.

We congratulate the following seven teachers - James Thom, Emily Channell, Alexis Conn, Jenny Godwin, Siobhan Betts, Samantha Beveridge and Alison Passafarro.
